Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine

The tour starts between 8:00 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. (depending on your hotel location). Your first stop will be the majestic Cathedral of St. John the Divine, one of the largest cathedrals in the world. At this point, you will have a few minutes to get off the bus and admire this imposing Gothic structure.

Continuing the tour to Harlem, you will stop in the Morningside Heights neighborhood, north of Manhattan, to visit the Tomb of General Grant Memorial, from where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Washington Bridge. This memorial commemorates General and former U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant and is an iconic landmark with profound historical significance.

Once in Harlem, you’ll visit two of the iconic entertainment venues that have left an indelible mark on jazz and soul history: the Apollo Theater and the Cotton Club. These legendary settings have witnessed the rise of great talents and cultural movements, and will immerse you in Harlem’s rich musical tradition.
Memorial Baptist Church

The highlight of the tour will be attending an authentic gospel Mass at Memorial Baptist Church, known for its moving choirs and infectious spiritual atmosphere. Mass begins at 10:30 a.m. and concludes around 12:00 p.m. Here you will experience the essence of gospel music, full of energy and devotion. You will be welcomed with open arms by the local community and will have the opportunity to participate in the ceremony, sing and be carried away by the infectious spirit of music and faith. The Metropolitan Museum of Art

After the inspiring gospel Mass, you will return down Fifth Avenue. Along the way, you will have the option to leave the tour and explore the different museums found on this famous avenue, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the Guggenheim Museum. If you decide to continue the tour, it will end at 34th Street and Sixth Avenue, opposite Macy’s, one of New York’s iconic department stores. From there, you can return to your hotel on your own or continue enjoying the wonders of the Big Apple.
