Overview

The Penn Museum is the oldest and largest University Museum in the United States. Home to over 1 million objects that span 10,000 years of human history, the Penn Museum displays remarkable objects and powerful stories that emerge from archaeological excavations and anthropological expeditions across the world. Connect with the cultures of Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Mediterranean, to the very first cities of the Middle East; from early Mexico to the lives of Native American communities today. Experience the richness of the ancient past, gain an understanding of our shared humanity, and find your place in the arc of human history. Please note: the Egyptian Gallery is closed for renovations.
