Fantastic Tour

Zachary_S, Aug 2025

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Valentín. Was one of the best Jewish tours we’ve experienced. He loves sharing his vast knowledge of the Jewish history of Seville, and I learned so much about the 1492 diaspora. He had a great sense of humor, and taught us some Ladino expressions. Thanks

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the Jewish Quarter tour with Valentín and his passion for sharing history, humor, and even Ladino expressions. Your kind words mean a lot — we’d love to welcome you again in Seville!

A tour of shady comfort

Malcolm B, Jul 2025

Carmen is a lovely lady whose passion and knowledge of the Jewish quarter made this tour one of the best in Seville. A complex and comprehensive 10 centuries of this area summarised and explained perfectly. A must do tour where you are shown SPECIAL unadvertised places of history everyone should know about.

Response from Host, Jul 2025

Thank you, Malcolm! We're thrilled you enjoyed Carmen's tour and her insights into the Jewish quarter. It's wonderful to hear you appreciated the hidden gems and the depth of history shared.

Small group tours are the best.

Marta was a wonderful guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Spain and the Jewish quarter of Seville. My sister and I were extremely tired from a long day of walking in the heat, and Marta was flexible enough to show us a couple of streets, but gave the rest of the information while we sat in the shade. Since we were the only ones on the 7pm tour, it really worked out for us. Thanks Marta!

Five stars and fascinating

Valentin, a wonderful historian, took us through Santa Cruz and showed us highlights we would never have known about this quarter and introduced us to the layered history of Sephardic jews in Sevilla, the story of the squares, alleyways, fountains, graves mahogany balconies, gardens, former embassies and the american called Washington Irving whose friendship with royalty and love of the history here helped to make so much of this area UNESCO world heritage. it was a joy to spend time and listen to the oral history of Seville with a man so passionate about history and who is himself deep in a groundbreaking thesis. Thank you Valentin - to send my dad a photo of the alleys that inspired his favorite operas was priceless and to see the chapel that was built over a beautiful synagogue brings this painful history to life. thank you for opening our eyes.
