  • Itinerary

    • Rue de Siam

Brest’s shopping quarters, it is named after a Siamese delegation (modern day Thailand) that passed by in 1686, that left the onlookers durably amazed.

    • National Maritime Museum

Brest Castle. From the Roman castellum to Vauban's citadel, its history spans over 1700 years. It is to this day still a military fortress at a highly strategic location, and hosts the National Museum of Navy.

    • Jardin des Explorateurs

A cute botanical garden with an incredible view over the Castle and the bay. It was made to honour the explorers that left from the port of Brest in the 18th century, and came back carrying plants and seeds from faraway islands. A century later, in 1975, Brest Botanical Conservatory opened, becoming the first-ever to vow to protect endangered species in the world.

      10 minutes
    • Tour de la Motte Tanguy

This tower is a souvenir of the 100 years war, some 8 centuries ago, and also the museum of the city of Brest. There you can see dioramas of what Brest was before.

    • Rue Saint-Malo

Brest's treasured remains of what the city was before World War II, this street was saved by a brave lady and the association Vivre la Rue. A time capsule at the feet of the Capucins.

    • Les Ateliers Des Capucins

Looking at this enormous former military building, that is now Brest's newest arts and culture hub, we'll understand how Brest is turning its eyes towards the future while never forgetting what's made her so unique.

      20 minutes
    • Brest's flashiest new addition: a cable car system to tie together the two historic parts of Brest: Brest-même and Recouvrance. We'll use it to return to the city or take the tram if there is an issue with the cable cars (it happens).
