Take in the views from the bus and enjoy a brief orientation drive, where your guide points out Lucerne's main attractions. Explore the Chapel Bridge, Town Hall, Jesuit Church, and the Culture and Congress Centre (KKL) at your own pace during your free time in the old town.Continue to Kriens to board the panoramic gondolas and the aerial cable way "Dragon Ride" to enjoy the jaw-dropping views out of the panoramic windows. Once at the top of Mt. Pilatus (2,132 m), venture down the Dragon's Path or go for a short hike to the summit.The highlight of this day is a thrilling descent on the world's steepest cogwheel railway (48% gradient) to Alpnachstad. Here you board the boat for a 1-hour cruise (only in the summer) on the Lake of the Four Cantons and enjoy the landscape from an entirely different angle.

The departure place is the Sihlquai Bus Station (Limmatstrasse 2), located behind the train station, in front of the Hotel Fred. You will need to check in at the counter marked with “Best of Switzerland Tours”. Please have the QR code on your voucher ready and present it printed or electronically on your smartphone or tablet.

- Discover the old town of Lucerne at your pace
- From 20 October to 07 November 2025 the Dragon Ride will be replaced by cogwheel train, due to maintenance. The boat ride will not be available, but you will receibe a lunch voucher (CHF 20,00 per adult / CHF 10,00 per child)
- Hop aboard the aerial cableway "Dragon Ride"
- From 08 November to 14 November 2025 the ascent will be done with the Dragon Ride and the descent with the cogwheel train. The boat ride will not be available, bu you'll receive a lunch voucher (CHF 20.00 per adult / CHF 10.00 per child).
