We enjoyed a wonderful tour of the Beaujolais Crus region with our guide Oliver! He was very knowledgeable and gave a wonderful overview of the different wines from each of the 10 Crus. He also included stops at some of the stunning viewpoints of the region for some photo ops. We ended the tour at a small winemaker to do a vertical tasting of their wine. I would highly recommend this tour!

Olivier was a wonderful tour guide for our family, showing us medieval towns and excellent wines. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area. It was a perfect trip for my family . I highly recommend him.
At 8:50 am, our guide English Speaking guide will meet you in front of Lyon Office de Tourisme building located on Bellecour Square (50 m opposite Le Royal Hotel). After a short walk, participants will get on the 8 seaters minivan to begin the excursion.
After a transfer about 40 minutes, start the journey travelling on the beautiful Beaujolais "Route des Vins" and with your guide learn about the "terroir" (french philosphy for wine) and the different characteristics of the Beaujolais "crus" wines appellations.
Stop at "Moulin-à-Vent" Crus, represended by its emblematic windmill from the 15th century surrounded by vineyards. In this area of Beaujolais, vines grow on granit soils with veins of Manganese which gives more tannic and deeper wines.
Push the door of a chateau Wine Estate and enter a magnificent cellar full of oak barrels. In this amazing cellar setting, wine-taste several crus wines and with your connoisseur talk about their characteristics, balance and complexity: Morgon, Fleurie, Chenas, etc. wines.
Climb to La Madone Chapel in Fleurie and enjoy a breathtaking panaroma of the Beaujolais wine region: on clear days, you may have the chance to see the Alps and the Mount Blanc!
Travel again on the wine road to reach a small family winery Estate of several generations.
Meet a passionate wine-maker, learn the different steps of the unique wine making process of Beaujolais called "semi-carbonic" maceration and finally go to wine-tasting room called "caveau".
Conclude the intense morning wine tour with a second wine-tasting of several crus wines in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
At 1:30 pm, we will drop you off in Lyon Bellecour Square.
End of an unforgettable wine!
