Excellent trip - well rounded and planned. Guide was very good and happy to answer all the questions being thrown at him. Seeing the prehistoric cave art at Rouffignac is something that will stay with me a long time.

Must-see tour to learn about the lives of the men of 20,000 years ago and the incredible artists who painted these masterpieces. Hugo our super guide, knew how to communicate his knowledge and passion with humor and many anecdotes. An unforgettable visit, thank you

I had high expectations. I knew it was a replica. It has an incomprehensible entrance, inside it's a Disney system to get in; then inside there are good replicas, I think, and that half hour ends in a shopping mall. I'm more than sure Disney would have made it much more atmospheric and exciting. I've visited other real ones elsewhere, and there's ZERO excitement. Knowing that they were not there, nor did they paint that, seeing something that YouTube or books show was a deep disappointment. I recommend checking which cave you go to, since there are real ones.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the experience did not meet your expectations. As mentioned, the site is a replica created to protect the original caves, which are too fragile to be visited. We understand this may feel less authentic, but it still offers a unique way to discover these remarkable artworks. Kind regards, Jeanne from the Ophorus Team

There were five people in our group, and Benoit was an excellent guide. There were even times when someone wanted to stop and visit a site that was not necessarily on our itinerary. Always keeping in mind the time schedule, Benoit accommodated several of these stops. Benoit knows a lot about the history of the area as well as all of the many sites that one could visit given enough time in Dordogne. He is very knowledgeable about prehistory in this area and was able to answer the many questions we threw at him. Benoit has a good sense of humor and also understands how much information you can take in in one short day. This was one of the highlights of our trip so far.
