Tuktuk was hard to find. They would not drop us back at our boat which gave us a 2km walk in 36 deg C temps. The tuktuk was comfortable and the lady driving was very nice. The size of the tuk tuk allowed us to explore hard to access areas. Time was allowed to sightsee attractions.. they need to pick up closer to ship terminal

However, for safety and traffic regulation reasons, we are not allowed to pick up or drop off guests directly at the cruise terminal. Our meeting point is clearly indicated in the confirmation message and is located only a few minutes’ walk from the port area. Very disappointing

Very poor. There were just 3 stops. 2 churches, one of which was closed and a park, which was ok in the 10 mins allotted. The tuk tuk driver knew nothing about the City and relied 100% on the audio tape, which was of limited value. Definitely not worth doing.

We would like to clarify a few important points: As clearly described in the tour details, there are three main stops along the itinerary to allow guests to comfortably take photos and admire the landmarks. Regarding the churches, unfortunately we do not control their opening hours and must adapt to their availability on the day of the tour. As for the driver, their primary responsibility is to safely drive the Tuk Tuk with the utmost care through the city streets. The tour itself is designed around a high-quality audio guide system with over 10 detailed tracks, providing comprehensive information about Olbia’s history and main points of interest. Lovely little trip - maybe there could have been a sign up as to where to meet and maybe there could have been a little more interaction with driver and co-pilot as to the trip, the countryarea and places we were being shown as they seemed very shy. Overall it was very pleasant.

Basilica Minore San Simplicio
Discover the Basilica of San Simplicio, the oldest and most important religious building in Gallura, dating back to the 11th century. An authentic masterpiece of Sardinian Romanesque and spiritual symbol of the city.

The building is located in the upper part of the old town and was built on the ruins of a pagan temple of Roman times, perhaps dedicated to Hercules. Originally named after the Conversion of St. Paul, it was the only parish in Olbia until 1954, when the ancient basilica of San Simplicio was reopened.
