Overview
At the heart of Provence, the Verdon Gorge (Gorges de Verdon) is Europe’s largest canyon and one of France’s most impressive natural wonders. This tour visits the medieval village of Castellane at the foot of the gorge, the pottery-making village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, the lake of Sainte Croix, and Provence’s famous lavender fields (summer only).

The day was a little too packed in. Only had short stops in each location that made it feel rushed and spending a lot of time in the van

Excellent day! Our guide Justine was amazing. She drives carefully you don’t get sick despite the turns. She explains everything so well in French and in English. The villages are beautiful the scenery amazing, the lavender fields awesome. Finally the lake and canyoning was a big adventure we will never forget. A must do!!

Really full action packed day with so much to see, our guide Sylvie was fantastic, a brilliant driver especially on the narrow roads and full on great facts and info. There is a lot of travelling but this is made very clear and the itinérant sp’its it up so you see as much as possible. A brilliant trip and a huge thank you.

Gorges du Verdon
On the way to the Ste Croix Lake, you will admire incredible panoramic views. At your request, the driver can stop so you can take photos.
Castellane
You will discover Castellane, a remarkable historical, cultural and sporting heritage. The village is today classified "city of character". It is located in a privileged environment, at the gates of the site of the Gorges du Verdon. Located on Route Napoleon and on the roads of lavender, the old village is also partly surrounded by the ramparts of the XIV century.

Then, we invate you to discover Moustiers Sainte-Marie that is ranked one of the most beautiful villages in France.
