At the heart of Provence, the Verdon Gorge (Gorges de Verdon) is Europe’s largest canyon and one of France’s most impressive natural wonders. With this tour, take in all the regional highlights as you visit the medieval village of Castellane at the foot of the gorge, the pottery-making village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, the lake of Sainte Croix, and Provence’s famous lavender fields (summer only).

Vivid turquoise experience

We had our trip with Rafael. He was an amazing guide who took us some special places, felt like we could see something that only locals know. From the very cozy village with coffee and waterfall, to the blue blue mountain lake, where we could spend 1+++ hour exploring on kayaks. Rafael was very considerate towards visitor' wellbeing (altitude change, etc.) and attentive to the needs of the people. As a bonus, he is a rally driver so we got lots of insights into professional driving -how to hold the steering wheel on kart and how to drive with both fun and safety in French mountains ;) And the sceneries of the river and the forest and massive rocks and mountains were breath taking. Greatly enjoyed the tour and can recommend it to anyone who wants to have an eventful day around Nice!

Gorges du Verdon
On the way to the Ste Croix Lake, you will admire incredible panoramic views. At your request, the driver can stop so you can take photos.
Castellane
You will discover Castellane, a remarkable historical, cultural and sporting heritage. The village is today classified "city of character". It is located in a privileged environment, at the gates of the site of the Gorges du Verdon. Located on Route Napoleon and on the roads of lavender, the old village is also partly surrounded by the ramparts of the XIV century.
