I met Claude thirty years ago when he guided my infantry platoon around the battlefields of Ypres and beyond. So last week I was with Claude again with my 13 year old army cadet son and my New Zealand girlfriend. I advised what I wanted to see and Claude picked up on the NZ piece and wove that into the battle field tour. Claude is exceptional, humorous, has a relaxed style and his military knowledge combined with local history is astonishing. Claude is the best tour guide I have encountered, I have done numerous staff rides/ battlefield tours and have run some myself but Claude just makes everything work, from accommodation to travel and hostelries. I cannot recommend Claude highly enough - he really is outstanding and adds detail to perfection - from the real site of the Christmas Truce football field to the crypt where it is believed Hitler was taken when wounded and many other sites so easy to miss or forgotten. 100% satisfied and I plan to do it all again with some of my old soldiers.

What an incredible experience for our family. We did the tour from Lille, France. Claude V. Was our guide. He was a great story teller and historian. His knowledge and passion for history brought the scenes alive. Our teenage sons loved it too. I would highly recommend this wonderful tour.

What a wonderful tour! Claude was very accommodating and kind. He kindly answered all of our questions as he drove us to all the sites of the area. We had a wonderful lunch and continued on our tour. He didn’t rush us and allowed us to take our time, which was quite helpful for my 77 year old grandfather. Overall, it was a fantastic tour, my family enjoyed our trip immensely!

We have done many privately guided tours but this was the best ever! Claude tailored the tour to our family backgrounds, Canadian, German, South Africa and Belgium as well as to our expressed interest in Newfoundland. His knowledge is incredible. His pleasant personality and lively comments made this an unforgettable experience.
