Worth the money

It is important to understand that the Hofburg is not only a palace, but a collection of museums. It is also the official residence of the President of Austria. My husband and I together with two friends booked this tour through Viator at the cost of €58 pp. The meeting point for this tour was rather confusing as it stated Michaelerplatz 3 but we were sent to several places before finding our guide outside the bank on the opposite side of the Hofburg. As for the tour itself, it was very good. However, I do not think it is a tour for children under the age of 10 as they become bored and tired after a few minutes. As the Sisi museum has some dark and rather narrow passages, it becomes very crowded and I think it would be very difficult to evacuate someone if they became unwell. I feel that part of the tour should be organised much better. Although you can see the horses in their stables of the Spanish Riding School, you must purchase a separate ticket for a tour of the riding school. The tour was highly informative, with individual audio earpieces. So, it is worth the money,

It was a fabulous tour. Our tour guide Ginny(sp?) was a wealth of information. She kept us entertained throughout the tour with stories and information about what we were seeing. A lot to see in a short period of time (2.5 hours) but she did it and the time passed quickly.
